Friends

The orphan drawings led to an unexpected sponsorship deal with Duvel, a Belgian brewery that has conquered the world with their ‘devilish’ ales (the Dutch ‘duvel’ means devil). The company approached me to illustrate a series of beer mats, and this way, I became friends with the devil. I didn’t sell my soul though: I was just thirsty, and Duvel happened to offer me a beer.
