Coffee Bru

Pink airhead

One of my favourite hang-outs in Amsterdam, ­Coffee Bru in the Van Woustraat, invited me to do a ­permanent piece on one of their walls. It became this pink hyper-active airhead that might just have had one cup too many. The coffee pot – the whole work really – is a reverential nod to Klaas Gubbels, master of the ­dynamic still-life.

Coffee Bru also has a great spot at Beukenplein, and Rum Baba –the coffee they serve– has an amazing place close to my studio. So,.... whenever in Amsterdam,... ;)
